Visit any branch with a photocopy of your National ID and the account opening fees totalling UGX 28,000. Our staff will help you complete a short membership form and open your account on the same day.
Bring a photocopy of your National ID, your National Identification Number for verification, the opening fees, and a passport photograph where requested. Groups and institutions also bring a written resolution.
The total is UGX 28,000, made up of an entrance fee of UGX 5,000, subscription of UGX 10,000, share capital of UGX 10,000, stationery of UGX 2,000 and NIN verification of UGX 1,000.
Yes. Savings groups, associations and institutions can open an account by providing a written resolution authorising the account, along with the details of the signatories.
Yes. Our Junior Account is opened and managed by a parent or guardian, and is ideal for saving towards school fees and a child's future needs.
You can save any amount in an ordinary savings account. For a fixed deposit, the minimum is UGX 100,000 and there is no upper limit.
An ordinary account lets you deposit and withdraw freely as you save. A fixed deposit locks your money away for an agreed period and earns a stronger return.
Loans range from UGX 100,000 up to UGX 30,000,000. Usual loans are charged at 3% reducing, emergency loans at 5% flat, and women group loans at 2% flat per month.
Loan repayment periods run from 12 months up to 24 months, depending on the loan amount and your repayment ability.
Yes. You are free to settle your loan before the agreed payment schedule, with no penalty for early repayment.
We offer school fees, business, boda boda, solar energy, agriculture, water harvesting tank, home improvement and women group loans.
Yes. Loans are available to members with an active savings account. Maintaining regular savings builds your eligibility and the amount you can borrow.
Depending on the loan size, you may be asked to provide acceptable security or guarantors. Our credit team will explain the requirements when you apply.
Dial *165*6*3# on MTN or *185*7*3*1# on Airtel, enter Bisheshe as the SACCO name, accept the terms and select Join. You then set a private PIN and receive an MSACCO number to save for future transactions.
You can deposit and save, withdraw, check your balance, request a mini statement and repay your loan, all from your phone at any time of the day.
From the My Account menu you can reset or change your PIN. If you need help, call us or visit any branch and our team will assist you.
Never. We will never call or message you to ask for your PIN or password. Keep your PIN secret and report any suspicious message to your branch at once.
Yes. We operate under the supervision of the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority and are governed by an elected leadership accountable to members at the Annual General Meeting.
No. We do not currently offer foreign exchange services at any of our branches. The exchange rates shown on our website are indicative market rates, provided for your information only.
We serve members from our main branch in Ibanda and offices at Rwenkobwa, Lyakahungu, Kashangura and Kabambiro. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Bisheshe Co-operative Savings and Credit Society was established in 2002 and officially registered as a cooperative on 15th March 2003 by the Ministry of Trade. The SACCO is regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority. Its founder members included the communities of Bisheshe in Ibanda District and the neighbouring areas of Kamwenge, Kitagwenda and Kiruhura.
